Friends of Mission Ridge is a grassroots non-profit born from our love of Mission Ridge. We celebrate the benefits that the rural nature of Stemilt and Squilchuck basins offer our community: clean water, public lands to recreate on, enjoyment of wildlife, dark skies for star-gazing, and more. Having these lands close to our community raises our quality of life and adds to the unique culture of why we live here in the heart of Washington.

The entire Wenatchee community benefits from the upper basin; whether it’s the way the basin acts as a catchment for water storage that is used for drinking water and agriculture; or as a place where diverse and sustainable forms of recreation boost residents and visitors quality of life.

Friends of Mission Ridge represents skiers, hunters, bird-watchers, trail runners, naturalists, bikers, sky-gazers, and local business owners. We aim to find a balance that respects the diverse user groups in our community while not destroying the very nature that supports us.
